Thane Woman Charged with Travelling to Pakistan Using Forged Passport and Visa
Thane, 23rd July 2024: A 23-year-old woman from Thane has been charged with travelling to Pakistan using a forged passport and visa obtained through falsified documents. The accused, Nagma Noor Maksood Ali—also known as Sanam Khan—and an accomplice who facilitated the document forgery is facing legal action.
As per media reports, the incident took place between May 2023 and July 2024. Officials from the Vartak Nagar police station revealed that Ali altered her identity to secure crucial identification documents. She procured an Aadhaar card, PAN card, and her daughter’s birth certificate from a Lokmanya Nagar centre. These falsified documents were then used to obtain a passport and visa for Pakistan. Authorities have filed a case against Ali and her accomplice under the Indian Passports Act and other relevant regulations. The investigation is ongoing.
