Thane, 27th December 2023: Thane district has witnessed a significant surge in vehicle registrations throughout 2023, with the count surpassing 2.5 lakh from January 1 to December 26. The highest number of registrations occurred in Thane, Mira Bhayander, and Bhiwandi cities, reaching a total of 1 lakh 10 thousand 531 registrations. This increase in vehicle ownership continues a trend observed over recent years, contributing to rising concerns about traffic congestion in the region.
