Zomato Delivery Driver’s Mumbai Living Conditions Go Viral After Heartfelt Instagram Video

Mumbai, 24th July 2024: A Zomato delivery driver’s story of perseverance in Mumbai has captured the internet’s attention after he posted a video showcasing his modest living conditions in a slum. The videos, shared by the delivery agent under the Instagram handle ‘qb_07,’ are captioned “Struggling artist in Mumbai.”

In the two-part video series, the young man provides a “room tour” to his Instagram audience, revealing that he pays Rs 500 monthly for rent. Navigating a narrow alley to reach his small room, he mentioned, “I struggle to breathe while walking through this place.”

Upon reaching the end of the lane, he ascends an iron staircase to his cramped living space. He introduces viewers to his friend Sonu, who helped him find his accommodation in Mumbai. “You can see the condition of the room,” he notes, pointing out the minimal space where his belongings are scattered. After showing his room, he enjoys a plate of biryani with Sonu before heading out to work.

He explains in the video that he cannot request financial support from his family due to the significant expenses they have already incurred for his previous illness.

In a follow-up video posted on July 23, the delivery agent reveals a makeshift bathroom he has created within his room due to space constraints. “The toilet is outside, and there is no ventilation here, but I’m managing. I will work hard to move out of this place as soon as possible,” he says.

Despite his challenges, the delivery driver also cares for a kitten, introducing it to his followers. “It must be difficult for the kitten to live in such conditions, but it wouldn’t survive outside, so I decided to take care of it,” he explains.

The video, which has garnered nearly 5 million views, has drawn widespread praise from social media users for his resilience and dedication. Many have also applauded him and his friends for their kindness towards the kitten in such tough circumstances.
