Navi Mumbai: Jewellery Store Robbed in Kharghar: Three Armed Men Steal Valuables Worth Rs 11.80 Lakh

Navi Mumbai, 29th July 2024: In Navi Mumbai’s Kharghar area, a jewellery store was robbed of valuables worth over ₹11 lakh by three unidentified armed men on Sunday night. The assailants, wearing helmets, stormed BM Jewellers around 10:30 pm, according to police reports.
Surveillance footage captured the men as they entered the shop, threatened the staff, and proceeded to steal jewellery. During the robbery, one of the men fired multiple shots inside the store, injuring a staff member who tried to activate the alarm.
The robbers fled the scene on a motorcycle, and residents attempted to pursue them. Navi Mumbai Police arrived promptly and initiated an investigation.
A police spokesperson told, “The three suspects, dressed in black and armed with revolvers, assaulted the staff and stole jewellery worth ₹11.80 lakh. They fired four to five shots during the heist, but fortunately, no one was injured.”
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act for dacoity and related offences. Police are actively working to apprehend the suspects.
