Malaika Arora’s Father Anil Arora Passes Away After Fall From Bandra Building

Mumbai, 11th September 2024: Malaika Arora’s father, Anil Arora, tragically passed away on Wednesday morning after reportedly falling from the sixth floor of a residential building in Bandra, Mumbai. Arora’s ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, along with senior police officers, were seen at her residence following the incident. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and an investigation is currently in progress. The incident allegedly occurred at 10:30 a.m. at the family’s home, Ayesha Manor in Bandra West, Mumbai.

However, sources close to Malaika suggest that it may have been an accident. “It’s an accident. We will share the police panchanama once we receive it,” they said.

Malaika’s parents, Joyce Polycarp and Anil Arora, separated when she was 11. In a past interview with Filmfare, she reflected on how the separation deeply affected her and her younger sister, Amrita, who was only 6 at the time. Malaika mentioned that their mother primarily raised them and described her childhood as challenging yet full of important lessons. “Though I had a wonderful childhood, it wasn’t easy. Looking back, I would describe it as tumultuous. But tough times teach valuable lessons,” she noted.

She attributes her strong work ethic and emphasis on financial independence to her mother. “Watching my mother after the separation gave me a new perspective. I learned the value of hard work and the importance of being self-reliant. These lessons have shaped both my personal and professional life. I still hold on to my independence and live life on my own terms,” she explained.

Anil Arora, who hailed from Punjab, previously worked in the Merchant Navy, while Malaika’s mother, Joyce, is a Malayali Christian. Anil was hospitalized last year, with Malaika and her mother visiting him regularly, though the reason for his hospitalization was not publicly disclosed.
