Sarfaraz Khan to Miss Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy Opener Against Baroda as He Joins National Cricket Academy

Mumbai, 8th October 2024: Sarfaraz Khan, a key batter for Mumbai, will not be available for their Ranji Trophy opener against Baroda starting on October 11. According to sources, Sarfaraz, who recently scored an unbeaten 222 in Mumbai’s Irani Cup victory, will be attending the National Cricket Academy.

The Mumbai selectors have named the squad for the first two fixtures. The defending champions will play Baroda away on October 11, followed by a home game against Maharashtra on October 18. The match will overlap with the India-New Zealand first Test in Bengaluru, which starts on October 16.

Sarfaraz is anticipated to retain his spot in the national team.
