Mumbai: Man Filmed Stealing Gold Bangles From Kurla Bus Accident Victim’s Body
Mumbai, 13th December 2024: Kurla police have filed a theft case against unidentified individuals for allegedly stealing three gold bangles from the body of a 55-year-old woman, Kaneez Fatima Ansari, who died in the Kurla bus accident on Monday.
The case was registered after a video showed a man wearing a helmet removing bangles from Ansari’s body. A small purse belonging to her is also reported missing.
Ansari, an attendant at Desai Hospital in Kurla, stood outside the hospital when the bus struck her. The video depicts her body lying beneath a car near the bus while the man, pretending to assist her, is seen taking the jewellery.
Ansari’s daughter, who reported the missing jewellery to the police, condemned the act as inhumane. Authorities are reviewing the footage and working to identify the suspect.
