Man Killed After Getting Caught in Grinder at Mumbai Roadside Stall

Mumbai, 17th December 2024: A 19-year-old man was killed after getting caught in a grinder while preparing food at a roadside stall in Mumbai, authorities reported. The victim, Suraj Narayan Yadav, a resident of Jharkhand, had recently started working at the stall in Worli. A case has been filed against the stall owner, Sachin Kothekar.

The tragic incident, which was recorded on CCTV, occurred while Yadav was operating the grinder to prepare ingredients for dishes like Manchurian and Chinese Bhel. The footage shows his shirt getting caught in the machine, which was at waist height, as he reached inside. Within moments, he was dragged into the grinder.

Yadav, who had no prior experience with such equipment, was allegedly given the task by Kothekar without proper training or safety precautions.
