Mumbai: Man Kills Wife in Malad East, Surrenders to Police After Fatal Stabbing

Mumbai, 30th December 2024: A tragic incident unfolded in the Kasam Bagh area of Dindoshi, Malad East, when 32-year-old Nitin Jambhale allegedly killed his 25-year-old wife, Komal Shelar, by stabbing her. After the incident, the accused surrendered to the police late last night.
Police sources revealed that the couple’s relationship had been troubled. They had known each other since 2009, eventually developing a romantic relationship. Despite family opposition, they married in 2019, but their marriage became strained over time, and Komal had been staying at her maternal home for a while.

The Dindoshi police arrested the accused and filed a murder case against him under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He is scheduled to appear in court today for remand. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the crime.
