Traffic on Samruddhi Expressway to Be Halted in Phases for HTMS Gantry Installation

Mumbai, 30th January 2026: Vehicular movement on sections of the Nagpur–Mumbai Samruddhi Expressway will face temporary suspensions between January 31 and February 3, as the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) carries out overhead gantry installation under the Highway Traffic Management System (HTMS) project.

According to officials, 14 scheduled traffic blocks will be imposed along stretches between Wardha and Nagpur to allow the safe erection of gantries that will support advanced traffic surveillance and management systems. Each restriction will remain in place for approximately one hour, and motorists have been advised to plan their travel to avoid inconvenience.

The HTMS initiative is designed to strengthen road safety, real-time monitoring, and traffic flow management along the high-speed corridor.
