Navi Mumbai: CIDCO Conducts Lottery for 8,795 EWS Homes; Thousands Await Dream Home

Navi Mumbai, 20th July 2026: Thousands of homebuyers in Navi Mumbai are awaiting the outcome of the CIDCO housing lottery as the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) conducts the computerized draw for 8,795 Economically Weaker Section (EWS) homes on Monday.

The lottery is part of the housing scheme announced in December 2025 and is being held in compliance with the Bombay High Court’s interim order dated March 25, 2026, issued in connection with a writ petition. The current draw covers only the EWS category, while decisions regarding the Lower Income Group (LIG) homes will be taken after the conclusion of the pending legal proceedings.

According to CIDCO, 10,832 eligible applicants are competing for the 8,795 housing units. The lottery is being conducted through an online computerized system to ensure transparency, fairness, and equal opportunity for all eligible applicants.

CIDCO clarified that applicants selected in the lottery will not receive immediate allotment. Their final eligibility will be determined only after the verification of documents, scrutiny of eligibility criteria, and fulfillment of all terms and conditions of the housing scheme.

Following the completion of the lottery, the list of successful applicants will be published on CIDCO’s official housing portal. Applicants have been advised to regularly check the website for the results and further updates regarding document verification and the allotment process.

The lottery marks a significant milestone for thousands of EWS families aspiring to own a home in Navi Mumbai, with the transparent digital process aimed at ensuring a fair selection mechanism.
