Bhusawal: Bhadli Yard Remodeling Completed in 22 Hours, 139 Trains Handled During Work

Bhusawal, 13th August 2026: Central Railway has completed the remodeling of Bhadli Yard in connection with the Jalgaon–Bhadli fifth-line project, with the Non-Interlocking (NI) work completed at 6:55 pm on August 12.

The NI work began at 8:35 pm on August 11 and was completed within the scheduled period. Despite continuous rain during the operation, railway traffic continued to be handled through the work period, with 139 trains comprising 108 coaching and 31 goods trains.

Of the total trains handled, 70 were in the UP direction, including 56 coaching and 14 goods trains. In the DOWN direction, 69 trains were handled, comprising 52 coaching and 17 goods trains.

Seven 1-in-16 Turnouts Inserted

The yard remodeling involved several track and signalling-related works. These included the insertion of seven 1-in-16 turnouts and one 1-in-12 turnout.

Railway authorities also carried out slewing of 510 metres of the Jalgaon–Bhusaval DOWN third line and regrading of both the DOWN and UP Main Lines over 674 metres each.

As part of the signalling work, alterations were made to the existing Electronic Interlocking (EI) system, increasing the number of routes by 35.

Work Executed Through Phased Blocks

To facilitate the remodeling, corridor blocks were implemented in phases.

The DOWN Main Line and third line were blocked from 8:45 am to 10:45 am, followed by the UP Main Line block from 10:50 am to 12:50 pm. The fourth-line block was taken from 11:45 am to 1:40 pm.

A final combined UP and DOWN block was implemented from 4 pm to 7 pm.

Jalgaon Yard Remodeling Next

The Jalgaon–Bhadli fifth-line project covers approximately 8.66 to 9 kilometres on the Bhusaval–Jalgaon corridor. The project is being undertaken to address congestion on the route and add infrastructure capacity.

With the completion of Bhadli Yard remodeling, work will now move towards the Jalgaon Yard remodeling under the same fifth-line project.
