Mumbai Fire: Blaze Breaks Out At 22-Storey Alivn Tower In Byculla, No Injuries Reported
Byculla, 13th August 2026: A fire broke out at the 22-storey Alivn Tower on Maulana Azad Road in Mumbai’s Byculla on Thursday afternoon, prompting a firefighting operation at the high-rise.
According to the BMC Disaster Management Cell, the fire was reported at around 12:24 pm in the meter cabin on the first floor of B Wing of the ground-plus-22-storey building. The tower is located opposite Nagori Nursing Home in the Madanpura area.
The Mumbai Fire Brigade classified the incident as an L-1 fire call and immediately launched firefighting operations after reaching the spot.
Several emergency services were deployed during the response, including the Mumbai Fire Brigade, Mumbai Police, BEST, 108 Ambulance services and ward staff.
Officials said the fire was confined to the meter cabin when the response operation began. Firefighters were working to bring the situation under control and prevent the flames from spreading to other parts of the building.
No injuries have been reported in the incident so far.
The incident comes as Mumbai continues to see fire-related emergencies in residential and commercial buildings, particularly in densely populated areas where access and evacuation can pose additional challenges.
The exact cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed. Further details are expected after the firefighting operation is completed, and officials assess the affected area.
Authorities have not reported any casualties in connection with the incident as of the latest available information.
