Mumbai–Thiruvananthapuram Special Train to Ease Onam Travel Rush
Mumbai, 21 August 2026: Central Railway will operate a weekly special train between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Thiruvananthapuram North to meet the additional travel demand during the Onam festival.
Train No. 01463 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Thiruvananthapuram North Special will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 4 pm on August 23, 2026, and reach Thiruvananthapuram North at 11.30 pm the following day. The train will make one trip.
In the return direction, Train No. 01464 Thiruvananthapuram North–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Special will depart at 2 pm on August 29, 2026, and arrive at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12.55 am on the third day.
The train will halt at Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon, Karwar, Kumta, Murdeshwar, Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Mangaluru Junction, Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Tirur, Shoranur Junction, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Changanassery, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Mavelikara, Kayankulam Junction, Karunagappalli, Sasthamkotta, Kollam Junction and Varkala Sivagiri.
The special train will comprise 24 ICF coaches, including three AC-2 Tier coaches, four AC-3 Tier coaches, 11 Sleeper Class coaches, four General Second Class coaches and two Luggage-cum-Guard’s brake vans.
Reservations for Train No. 01463 will open on August 22, 2026, at computerized reservation centres and through the IRCTC website.
