Mumbai–Madgaon, Mumbai–Nagpur: Central Railway Announces 8 Weekend Special Train Services

Mumbai, 30th September 2026: Central Railway will operate eight special train services between Mumbai and Madgaon and Mumbai and Nagpur on October 2 and 4 to cater to passengers travelling during the weekend.

Four services will run between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) and Madgaon, while another four will operate between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Nagpur.

LTT–Madgaon Weekend Specials

Train No. 01029 LTT–Madgaon Weekend Special will depart from LTT at 00:25 hours on October 2 and October 4 and reach Madgaon at 15:15 hours on the same day.

In the return direction, Train No. 01030 Madgaon–LTT Weekend Special will depart Madgaon at 16:00 hours on October 2 and October 4 and arrive at LTT at 03:45 hours the following day.

The trains will halt at Thane, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim and Karmali.

CSMT–Nagpur Weekend Specials

Train No. 02141 CSMT–Nagpur Weekend Superfast Special will depart CSMT at 00:25 hours on October 2 and October 4 and reach Nagpur at 15:35 hours on the same day.

Train No. 02142 Nagpur–CSMT Weekend Superfast Special will depart Nagpur at 16:50 hours on October 2 and October 4 and arrive at CSMT at 09:20 hours the following day.

The trains will halt at Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shegaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon and Wardha. Igatpuri will be a halt only for Train No. 02142.

Booking Details

Bookings for Train Nos. 01029, 02141 and 02142 will open on October 1, 2026, at all Passenger Reservation System (PRS) locations and through the IRCTC website.

Passengers travelling in unreserved coaches can book tickets through the UTS system. Tickets can also be booked through the RailOne app.

The special trains will have four AC 3-Tier coaches, 11 Sleeper Class coaches, five General Second Class coaches and two Second Seating-cum-Guard’s brake vans.
