Mumbai: Body Of Woman Found In Flat At Lalbaug, Suspected Murder
Mumbai, 15th March 2023: The body of a woman was found in a flat in Lalbaug, and it is suspected that she was murdered. Kalachowki police are investigating further in this matter.
The dead body of a woman aged 50 to 52 years was found wrapped in a plastic bag in a flat in the Peru Compound area of Lalbaugh. Police have identified her as Veena Prakash Jain. The woman’s body was found in a plastic bag in the closet of her residence. The incident was reported to the police late in the night, after which the police seized the body and sent it to KEM Hospital for post-mortem. Kalachowki police have detained the daughter of the dead woman for questioning.
The body of this woman was in a decomposed state. Not only this, the woman’s body was stabbed with a sharp weapon. It is also believed that her arms, legs and other body parts were cut off. A forensic team was called late at night, and the entire flat was inspected.
