Mumbai: 73-Year-Old Rapes Eight-Year-Old After Luring Her With Chocolates
Mumbai, 15th March 2023: A 73-year-old man sexually assaulted an eight-year-old girl by luring her with chocolates in Goregaon East. Police arrested the accused in this case. A case has been registered against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). It is alleged that the accused raped the girl by showing her obscene tapes.
The victim girl narrated the incident to her mother. After that, her mother lodged a complaint with the Vanrai Police. Accordingly, the police registered a case and arrested the accused.
The victim had gone near the house of the accused to fetch cold water. At that time, the accused lured the victim girl with chocolate. He started sexually assaulting her by showing her pornographic tapes. The girl, frightened by this, screamed. At that time, the accused threatened her not to tell anyone about this incident and left her. After the victim’s mother got information about this, she lodged a complaint with the Vanrai police. The police registered a case under the POCSO Act on Tuesday. After that, the accused was arrested on Tuesday evening.
