Mumbai: Policeman Injured In Accident Caused Due To Speeding Ambulance

Mumbai, 16th March 2023: A traffic policeman was injured when an ambulance hit him on a flyover. The traffic police registered a case against the accused driver and arrested him on Wednesday. Police said the accused was released on bail.

The arrested driver has been identified as Mayur Kulkarni, and a case has been registered against him for endangering the lives of others by driving at high speed. The officer said the accused has been granted bail on a bond of Rs 10,000. The accident took place on the south channel of the flyover. The accused was driving the ambulance at high speed. He also hit a taxi coming from behind. Police constable Eknath Kotwal was also injured in the accident. He is working in the Sakinaka division. Police said he sustained injuries on his arm, chest and back. On the complaint of Kotwal, the police registered a case and arrested the accused.
