Thane: Society In Mira-Bhayandar Complain To Municipal Commissioner About Illegal Wall Built By Builder

Thane, 16th March 2023: Residents of the Jai Jagannath Towers Housing Society in Mira-Bhayandar have written a letter of complaint to the Municipal Commissioner, Dilip Dhole, regarding the illegal construction of a wall near the second gate of the residence.
According to the complaint, the builder has erected the wall illegally and has failed to open the second gate of the society. Despite multiple requests and complaints, no action has been taken. Society members are concerned for their safety as there is no second or emergency exit point in the residence in case of a fire or other vulnerable situations.
Lakhpat Trivedi, the Secretary of the society, said, “The society complained about the illegal construction made by the builder adhering to the Jai Jagannath tower. The builder has closed the outer gate of the society. He is not ready to open the outer gate of the building as he is a landlord and builder, so has money and power and the impact of the builder is on the local body and relevant officials. Nobody is ready to listen to the society. In case of a fire, short circuit or any other natural calamity, there is no other way to get out of the society except the entrance gate. MBMC officials visited the site but were of no use. Residents of the building are afraid and feeling scared due to the obstinacy of the builder. What do we do, and where do we go to find a solution?”
