Thane: Woman Seriously Injured In Brutal Attack By Intruder In Kalyan West
Kalyan, 10th October 2023: In a shocking incident that transpired on Sunday night, an unidentified intruder forcibly entered the residence of a woman living in a chawl on Kolivali Road and launched a brutal attack, leaving the victim, Sonam Pal, seriously injured.
Sonam Pal is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital, and her condition remains critical. The assailant managed to escape after the assault, and a case has been promptly registered at the Khadakpada police station in connection with this incident.
Sonam Pal resides in the chawl on Kolivali Road with her husband, Nitesh, who works at a local bakery in the same area. On Sunday night, Nitesh had left for his night shift at the bakery, leaving Sonam asleep at home.
The attacker, whose identity remains unknown, cautiously intruded on the house through a window, wielding a sharp weapon. In a terrifying turn of events, he mercilessly stabbed Sonam, who cried out for help. Taking advantage of the darkness, the assailant fled the scene through the same window.
The Khadakpada police have launched a rigorous investigation into the matter, diligently reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to identify and apprehend the suspect.
