Mumbai Suburban Railway Lines to Witness Maintenance Block on 19 November
Mumbai, 18th November 2023: The Mumbai suburban railway lines are scheduled to undergo maintenance, including technical work on signal mechanisms, during a mega block on Sunday, 19th November 2023. The Central Railway will conduct a mega block from CSMT to Vidya Vihar Down Slow Line and Harbour Line from CSMT to Chunabhatti/Wadala Down Harbour Line.
Central Railway –
Where: CSMT to Vidya Vihar Down Slow Line
When: From 10:55 AM to 3:55 PM
Impact:
During this block, slow train services from CSMT to Vidya Vihar stations on the Down Fast Line will divert to the Down Slow Line and stop at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Dadar, Matunga, Sion, and Kurla stations before arriving at Vidya Vihar. Additionally, slow services from Ghatkopar to the Up Harbour Line will divert to the Up Slow Line between Vidya Vihar and CSMT, halting at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel, and Byculla stations.
Harbour Line
Where: CSMT to Chunabhatti/Wadala Down Harbour Line
When: From 11:10 AM to 4:10 PM
Impact
The Down Harbour Line services running from CSMT/Vadala Road to Vashi/Belapur/Panvel and from CSMT to Wadala/Goregaon for CST will be cancelled during this block. However, services between Panvel/Belapur/Vashi and CST and Goregaon/Wadala to CST for Up Harbour Line will remain cancelled. Special services will run between Panvel and Kurla to facilitate passenger convenience during the block period. There will be no blocks on Sundays.
Western Railway
A maintenance block is scheduled for Saturday night, covering Santacruz to Goregaon stations. The block will commence from midnight until 3:00 AM. During this time, repairs will be carried out between the fifth track from midnight to half past three in the morning. No further blocks are scheduled for Sundays.
