Navi Mumbai: Delhi Police Conducts Search at Gautam Navlakha’s Residence in Pune-Bhima Koregaon Case

Navi Mumbai, 1st January 2024: Gautam Navlakha, a journalist under house arrest in connection with the Pune-Bhima Koregaon riots case, has once again found himself in the spotlight as Delhi Police searched his residence. The operation took place today, with authorities maintaining utmost secrecy about the specifics of the investigation.
The Pune-Bhima Koregaon riots case stems from an incident on January 1, 2018, during the bicentenary commemoration of the Bhima Koregaon War. A riot erupted at the gathering, leading to an ongoing investigation. Gautam Navlakha is one of the individuals arrested in connection with the case. He has consistently denied the allegations against him. In 2020, he surrendered before the National Security Council and has since been under house arrest in Navi Mumbai CBD Belapur, as per court orders.
Today, Delhi Police unexpectedly arrived at Navlakha’s residence and initiated questioning. The nature of the inquiries remains undisclosed, and authorities have maintained tight-lipped secrecy about the details of the investigation.
Sources indicate that the interrogation focused on various aspects, including financial assistance received from abroad, Navlakha’s contacts, and his relationships with individuals associated with extremist organizations. However, official representatives declined to provide any comments on the matter.
