Navi Mumbai: MNS Raises Concerns Over Airtel Engineer Assaulted by IAS Officer, Calls for Action

Navi Mumbai, 6th January 2024: In a recent Facebook post, the official reports page of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) shared the account of an alleged assault on Sagar Mandhare, an engineer at Airtel, during a service visit. The post, attributed to Marathi Youth Sagar Mandhare, condemns the assault and calls for strict action against the accused, identified as Aman Mittal, an IAS officer, and his brother Devesh Mittal.

Sagar Mandhare, residing in Kopar Khairane, Navi Mumbai, detailed the incident that occurred on December 30, 2023, at the Venkateshwar building in Ghansoli. Mandhare, tasked with installing a WiFi router, encountered resistance from the IAS officer, Aman Mittal, who allegedly assaulted him after a disagreement regarding the range of the internet connection in the bedroom.

Mandhare claims that Aman Mittal and his brother, Devesh Mittal, physically attacked him, and even after the police were called, they continued the assault using iron pipes, PVC pipes, and wooden sticks. Mandhare further alleges mistreatment by the police, stating that an FIR was initially filed against him at Rabale Police Station, and his complaint was not promptly registered.

Expressing dissatisfaction, Mandhare asserts that despite a week passing since the incident, no action has been taken against the accused. He raises concerns about potential pressure exerted on the police, indicating a lack of progress in addressing the assault and filing the necessary charges against IAS Aman Mittal and Devesh Mittal.

The MNS, through its official reports Facebook page, stands in solidarity with Sagar Mandhare and demands swift and just action against the alleged perpetrators. The party reaffirms its commitment to supporting the Marathi people and calls for accountability in this matter.

The post includes the hashtag #accusedAmanMittal, urging social media users to share the story and bring attention to the incident.
