Thane: Close Call for Passengers as MSRTC Bus Faces Engine Fire near Kalwa

Thane, 25th February 2024: Approximately 45 passengers had a close call when a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus experienced an engine fire near Kalwa in Thane.

The incident occurred on a Sunday (25th February) morning as the bus, which started its journey from the Khopat depot and was headed for Khopoli, faced a potential disaster.

Fortunately, the quick response of the bus staff and some passengers averted a more significant crisis. They successfully managed to extinguish the fire, preventing it from spreading and causing damage to the bus.

The passengers were safely evacuated, highlighting the importance of swift action and collaboration in emergencies.
