Allu Arjun Declines Selfie at Mumbai Airport, Sparks Mixed Reactions Online

Mumbai, 3rd May 2025: South Indian superstar and National Award-winning actor Allu Arjun was recently in Mumbai to attend Waves 2025, an industry event. During his arrival at the Mumbai airport, the actor was spotted by paparazzi, and a video capturing the moment has since gone viral on social media.

In the video, a fan is seen approaching the Pushpa 2 star for a selfie. However, Arjun politely declined the request, gently patting the fan on the shoulder before walking away. His bodyguard then intervened and guided the fan aside.

Netizens React: Mixed Opinions Flood Social Media

The brief interaction triggered a wave of reactions online. While some users criticized the actor, interpreting his refusal as arrogance, others defended him, citing the need for personal space and acknowledging the pressure of celebrity life.

One Instagram user wrote, “What’s with the attitude, sir? Everyone meets the same end — the soil.” Another commented, “It’s fans who help make their films cross ₹1,000 crore, and yet the stars act like they’re above everyone else.”

Several users expressed frustration over celebrities allegedly engaging with fans only during promotional campaigns. “Just five seconds for a photo — is that too much? When it’s time to promote their films, they suddenly care about the public’s love,” one user remarked. Another added, “It’s the public that turns them into heroes, and then they ignore the same people.”

Support Pours In for Allu Arjun

Amid the backlash, many fans came to Arjun’s defense. Supporters pointed out that the actor has consistently maintained a respectful and composed demeanor in public appearances. “He’s always been calm and decent. Refusing a selfie doesn’t make him rude,” one fan wrote.

Others emphasized that celebrities are human too and may not always be in a position to accommodate every fan interaction, especially in high-security or crowded environments like airports.

Upcoming Project with Atlee

On the professional front, Allu Arjun is set to team up with Jawan director Atlee for his next big-screen venture. Tentatively titled AA22xA6, the film will mark Arjun’s 22nd movie and has already generated buzz across fan communities.
