Bollywood Star Aamir Khan and Director Kiran Rao Visit Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner’s Office

Chinchwad, 27th February 2024: On Tuesday, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and his former wife and director, Kiran Rao, paid a visit to the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner’s office, as captured in a video shared by the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police.

The post revealed that Khan and Rao attentively observed as the Commissioner, accompanied by senior officers, provided them with insights into the unique Disha initiative by Pimpri-Chinchwad Police. The initiative aims to pave the way for a brighter future for underprivileged children residing in various areas of the city.

In an X post, the PCPC official account wrote, “It was a pleasure to welcome Indian Film Actor Aamir Khan and Director-Producer Ms Kiran Rao to the Pimpri Chinchwad CP Office today. They observed with keen interest as @CP_PCCity, in collaboration with senior officers, guided them through the unique Disha Initiative of Pimpri Chinchwad Police. This initiative is designed to forge a better future for underprivileged children residing in various pockets of the city.”

Present during the occasion were Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinaykumar Choubey, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) Swapna Gore, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Wakad Division) Dr Vishal Hire, AHTU Police Inspector Devendra Chavan, Police Sub Inspector Sagar Patil, and other Police Personnel.

Both Khan and Rao were spotted donning black T-shirts bearing the phrase ‘Mostly Laapata.’ The text is linked to Rao’s upcoming film, ‘Laapata Ladies,’ which they are actively promoting.

This film has been chosen as the opening feature for the second edition of The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). Scheduled for its Australian premiere on February 29 at the festival, the film is set to hit theatres on March 1.
