Ceiling Collapse in Thane Flat Claims Life of 17-Year-Old Boy
Thane, 19th August 2024: A 17-year-old boy was killed when the ceiling plaster of a flat in a four-story building in Thane district collapsed, police reported on Sunday. The incident occurred around 8 PM on Saturday in a flat in Kharivali, Bhiwandi, where a family of five—two parents and their two sons and a daughter—resided.
The ceiling plaster of the second-floor flat suddenly gave way, falling onto the occupants. According to an official from Bhoiwada police station, the couple’s younger son sustained severe injuries and later died as a result.
