Fire Breaks Out at Mumbai High-Rise Housing Jacqueline Fernandez, Alia Bhatt, and Others

Mumbai, 7th March 2024: A fire incident occurred at a Mumbai building where Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez is a resident in the Bandra area. Firefighters promptly responded to the scene, deploying fire tenders to combat the flames. Firefighting efforts were actively underway to extinguish the fire.

On the 14th floor of a luxurious high-rise building on Pali Hill’s Nargis Datta road, a fire broke out around 8 pm. The fire, limited to the kitchen and wooden furniture, was brought under control by 9:34 pm, with no reported injuries.

The building, situated in the sought-after Pali Hill area and housing celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Jacqueline Fernandez and Emraan Hashmi, experienced the fire. No one was harmed and all residents were reported as safe.

The fire originated in the kitchen and was confined to household items, including wooden furniture, a washing machine, and a gas stove. According to SK Bangdar, the additional fire officer, the unoccupied flat contributed to the absence of injuries. The fire was successfully contained using the building’s firefighting system, including a high-pressure first-aid line and a small hose line connected to five motor pumps after disconnecting the electricity supply.

Residents noted that the relatively new building, where occupants had moved in over the past year, is considered one of the most upscale in the area. Advocate Trivankumar Karnani, founder of MNCDF, highlighted the building’s posh status, predominantly housing actors and investors.

The additional fire officer, Bangdar, mentioned that investigations into the cause of the fire would take place on Thursday. The building’s functional fire system played a crucial role in preventing the fire from spreading to other parts of the flat and the entire building.
