Mumbai, 25th June 2023: The city of Mumbai experienced heavy to very heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours, affecting a wide area. In the last three hours, intermittent showers ranging from light to moderate intensity were observed, with some higher intensity reported in the city side and central Mumbai, as depicted in visuals.

The arrival of the monsoon season has marked its presence in Mumbai, bringing with it the much-awaited rainfall. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported partly cloudy skies over Konkan, including Mumbai, Thane, and the interior regions, with monsoon clouds visible as of 11 am. While there has been a slight reduction in cloud mass, the model guidance suggests that Konkan can expect enhanced rainfall activity in the next three to four days. Residents are advised to enjoy the rains but exercise caution.

The recorded data for Mumbai on June 25 shows a minimum temperature of 24.0 degrees Celsius in Colaba with a rainfall of 86.0 mm, and a minimum temperature of 23.6 degrees Celsius in Santa Cruz accompanied by a significant rainfall of 176.1 mm.
