Shahjahanpur (Uttar Pradesh), 19th June 2022: Police have registered an FIR against seven people, including her husband, for tricking a girl from the Shahjahanpur district of UP to marry an impotent youth despite giving a dowry of Rs 10 lakh.
The family of Shahjahanpur’s girl got married with great pomp, but when she reached her in-laws’ house, it was found that her husband was impotent. The police have registered an FIR against seven people including the husband.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sanjeev Bajpai said that the girl, living in a village under Puwayan police station, was married by her relatives to Satyam, a resident of Shahjahanpur, and gave Rs 10 lakh in cash and dowry in her marriage. The bride departed and reached her in-laws’ house.
On the honeymoon, the bride came to know that her husband was impotent. When the bride told this to her in-laws, her sister-in-law Adi beat her up. Her in-laws also threatened to kill her. Vajpayee quoted the FIR lodged that the girl had been cheated by cheating. Police have started an investigation by registering a case against seven people including the husband.
