Imagine Mumbai’s Future: Join the Dialogue at the MumbaiKal Event

Mumbai, 26th September 2024: MumbaiKal, a unique event set to take place on 28th September 2024 at Churchgate, aims to bring together a diverse group of individuals to creatively envision the future of Mumbai. Scheduled from 4 pm to 9 pm, the event provides a platform for participants to share their dreams, concerns, and aspirations for the city through art, performance, and discussion.

Organized with an artistic approach, MumbaiKal encourages engagement with the city’s future by offering interactive spaces for participants to express their thoughts using various art forms. Project Coordinator Anjali Tripathi highlighted the innovative nature of the event, saying, “MumbaiKal is an opportunity for everyone to come together, think about the future, and express what they hope to see in our city, in ways that go beyond traditional dialogue.” Participants will collaborate with professional artists to visualize their predictions and wishes for the city.

The event is divided into three phases:

– Phase 1: Expressing (4 pm – 6 pm) will kick off with young creators under 30 sharing their artistic visions of Mumbai’s future. The public exhibition will open at 6 pm, followed by a high tea for all attendees.

– Phase 2: Sensemaking (6:30 pm – 8 pm) features thought leaders who will engage the audience through interactive discussions and artistic displays. “This phase is about making sense of what Mumbai could become by collaborating with thought leaders and using technology to enhance the dialogue,” said Tripathi.

– Phase 3: Celebrating (8 pm onwards) will focus on celebrating the collective hope and impact participants have envisioned for the city. The evening will conclude with music, socializing, and a sense of shared optimism about Mumbai’s future.
