Mumbai: BEST Bus Catches Fire In Andheri, Second Incident In 15 Days
Mumbai, 12th February 2023: A BEST bus caught fire in the Andheri East area on Saturday around 3.30 pm. It was a leased bus. This is the second incident in the last 15 days. Therefore, the issue of the safety of leased buses has arisen.
The bus of Mateshwari company caught fire at Andheri East Chakala junction on Saturday, 11th February, while the incident of a Mateshwari company bus being burnt at Bandra SV Road Junction on 25th January had recently occurred. No passengers were injured in the accident, but the local police are conducting further investigations, according to the public relations department of the BEST initiative.
Meanwhile, the safety of the passengers is being questioned due to the incident of catching fire on the leased bus.
