Mumbai: Brutal Attack in Vasai: Man Strikes Girlfriend with Iron Wrench, Sparking Shock and Outrage
Vasai Virar, 19th June 2024: In Vasai, Mumbai, a tragic incident unfolded when a man violently attacked his girlfriend, Aarti Yadav, 20, on the street, striking her head with an iron wrench around 8:30 am on Tuesday in the Chinchpada area of Vasai East.
Eyewitness footage captured a large crowd witnessing the assault, yet no one intervened to aid Aarti. The assailant, identified as Rohit Yadav, could be heard in the video questioning, “Why did you do this to me,” as he continued his brutal attack.
Police investigations revealed that the motive behind the crime stemmed from a failed romantic relationship between Rohit and Aarti. Recent events, including Aarti’s decision to end the relationship and suspicions of her involvement with someone else, allegedly triggered Rohit’s violent outburst.
The Waliv police have taken Rohit into custody and have initiated a murder case. They are currently conducting further inquiries into this distressing incident.
