Mumbai Coastal Road BMW Accident: Three Young Men Killed After Car Plunges From Flyover
Mumbai, 20th September 2026: Three young men were killed and another was critically injured after a BMW car crashed and plunged from a flyover on Mumbai’s Coastal Road early Sunday morning.
The accident occurred at around 5:30 am near Lotus Jetty, opposite Lala Lajpatrai College. According to preliminary information, the BMW was travelling from Marine Drive towards Haji Ali when it crashed through a board on the flyover, hit a pillar and fell onto the road below.
The impact left the car severely damaged. Three occupants died at the scene, while a fourth, a 20-year-old man, sustained serious injuries. The injured youth was initially taken to Nair Hospital and was later shifted to a trauma hospital for further treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Shanay Gajjar (21), Dhirya Seth (17) and another 25-year-old man. The identity of the injured person has not been disclosed in the available information.
The incident has once again raised concerns over road safety on the Coastal Road, particularly regarding high-speed driving. Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
