Mumbai: Rat Meat Found In Chicken Dish At Papa Päncho da Dhaba In Bandra, FIR Registered
Bandra, 16th August 2023: A profoundly disturbing incident has come to light, revealing a disconcerting discovery of rat meat within purported chicken and mutton preparations at a well-regarded restaurant in Bandra. In the wake of this disturbing revelation, a case has been formally lodged at the Bandra Police Station on August 14.
The case has been filed against the restaurant’s manager, Vivian Albert Shiquera, aged 40, the restaurant’s chef, and the chicken supplier.
According to police, the unsettling episode transpired on August 13, when Anurag Singh, aged 40, accompanied by his friend Amin Khan, visited the restaurant located in Pali Naka, Bandra West, for a dinner outing. Their order included a chicken and mutton thali, complete with roti. It was during their meal that they stumbled upon an unusually divergent piece of meat concealed within the dish. Subsequent examination exposed the shocking reality: the fragment in question was identified as rat meat.
Alarming discrepancies in the chicken dish were further noticed by Anurag Singh and his companion, Amit. Upon close scrutiny, it became evident that a distinct type of meat had been mistakenly incorporated. To their shock and disbelief, closer inspection unveiled the unsettling truth – the anomalous meat was unequivocally sourced from a rat.
Responding to this grievous breach of trust, Anurag Singh initiated legal proceedings by invoking Section 272, 336, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, culminating in a formal case registered at the Bandra Police Station.
