Navi Mumbai Police’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit Rescues Child Laborers in Belapur Village
 
                Navi Mumbai, 30th July 2023: The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Navi Mumbai Police successfully rescued two child laborers during a raid conducted at Hotel Bhagat Tarachand in Belapur Village, CBD. Acting on received information about child labor exploitation in the hotel, the AHTU swiftly took action.
Led by Police Sub-Inspector Bhargude, the team carried out the raid on Thursday (27th July) at Hotel Bhagat Tarachand in Belapur Village Sector-20. During the raid, they found two boys, aged 16 years and 2 months, and 15 years and 7 months, working as waiters at the hotel.
Immediate measures were taken, and a case has been registered against the hotel manager, Suresh Nardekar (47), and Nagori (29), along with the owner, Kapil Hinduja, under the Child Labor Prevention Act and the Juvenile Justice Care and Protection Act at the NRI police station.
