Navi Mumbai: Three Bangladeshi Nationals Arrested From Navi Mumbai For Illegally Residing In India Without Citizenship

Nerul, 14th September 2023: In a significant development, three Bangladeshi nationals have been apprehended in a slum located in the Nerul vicinity of Navi Mumbai. It has come to light that these individuals entered India through illegal means, with two of them having done so 12 years ago alongside their parents, while the third accused entered the country with her husband six years ago.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Ahdul Injeel Mulla, Ratna Ahdul Injeel Mulla, and Ripa Biswas. Among them, Ahdul Injeel Mulla and Ratna hail from Jangri Langda village in Bangladesh, while Ripa is a resident of Mirzapur in Bangladesh.

Ahdul Injeel Mulla, aged 26, and Ratna Ahdul Injeel Mulla, aged 21, arrived in India 12 years ago in the company of their parents. It is worth noting that a case was registered against their parents in 2011 under the Passport Act.

On the other hand, Ripa, aged 36, entered India six years ago, accompanied by her husband. Presently, all three reside in a slum located near Apollo Hospital in Nerul, Navi Mumbai. The anti-terrorism squad received intelligence regarding these individuals, prompting their detention for further investigation.

Upon interrogation, the trio failed to produce any documents establishing their Indian citizenship. Subsequently, a case has been registered against them under the Passport Act, confirming their Bangladeshi nationality.
