Mumbai, 27th July 2021- Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra, who is arrested in the pornography case, has not got relief from the Fort Magistrate Court. He and Ryan Thorpe have been sent to 14-day judicial custody.

Earlier, Kundra’s police custody ended on July 23, which was extended till July 27 by the court.

The crime branch appealed in the court that the police custody of Kundra should be extended by seven days. However, after the court’s decision, he has now been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.

Raj’s troubles increased

Raj Kundra was arrested by the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police on 19 July. Police said that he seems to be the main conspirator in this whole case. Apart from him, 10 others were also arrested.

Case was registered in February

In the pornography case, the Mumbai Police had registered a case on February 4 this year, after which the matter started gaining momentum. When the police raided a bungalow located in the Malad West area, the shooting of a porn film was going on there.

The police had then got important clues about Kundra but before his arrest, the police wanted to collect solid evidence.

Changed phone in March

According to sources, Raj was anticipating his arrest in the pornography case, so he changed his phone in March itself so that no data could be recovered. When the Crime Branch team asked him about his old phone, he said that he threw it. Police believe that the old phone could have had a lot of important information.
