Prohibitory Orders Imposed in Thane as Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra Approaches

Thane, 15th March 2024: The Thane district administration has implemented prohibitory measures in anticipation of the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’s arrival. Prohibitory orders under Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) section 144 have been issued by Thane Collector Ashok Shingare.

According to the district administration’s release, the yatra is scheduled to enter Thane district rural limits on March 15, with a planned stop at Sonale, Bhiwandi. On March 16, it will proceed towards the Thane city police commissionerate.

Given Rahul Gandhi’s Z Plus security detail, the areas where he is slated to halt, including Ambadi Naka, Mahapoli village, Shelar Hanuman temple, Nadi Naka, and Sonale grounds, will witness restrictions on parachute gliding and the use of drones from a security standpoint.

Gandhi’s presence was noted in Nashik earlier in the day as part of the ongoing yatra.
