Salman Skips Bigg Boss Hosting As Security Concerns Mount Following Recent Threat

Mumbai, 6th December 2024: Salman Khan was spotted at Mumbai airport early Friday morning, accompanied by his bodyguard Shera and staff members. Surrounded by heightened security due to ongoing death threats, the Bollywood superstar made a public appearance amidst growing concerns for his safety.
Dressed in a casual black shirt paired with dark blue trousers, Salman completed his look with a cap, his signature silver bracelet, and black-and-white sneakers. Despite the tense situation, he appeared at ease, smiling for the cameras and interacting warmly with those around him. Joining Salman at the airport was Zeeshan Siddique, son of the late Baba Siddique, who was tragically shot dead outside his son’s Bandra office on October 12th.
This outing coincided with Salman’s decision to skip hosting the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes of Bigg Boss 18 this weekend. Choreographer-director Farah Khan will step in as the host. Reports suggest Salman’s absence is linked to security concerns following a recent threat.
Earlier this week, a man illegally entered the set of Salman’s shoot and issued a threatening remark, allegedly referencing gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The suspect was detained and taken to Shivaji Park police station for questioning. This incident adds to a series of threats the actor has faced from Bishnoi and his associates over grievances related to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.
The Bishnoi community considers the blackbuck sacred, and Salman’s alleged involvement in the poaching incident during the filming of Hum Saath Saath Hain angered them deeply. Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious gangster with ties to the community, has repeatedly demanded a public apology from Salman, threatening severe consequences for both the actor and his father, Salim Khan, if this demand is not met. In 2022, Bishnoi reaffirmed that forgiveness would only be possible if Salman issued an apology, reflecting the ongoing tension surrounding the case.
