Stones Pelted at Police and BMC Officials During Anti-Encroachment Operation in Mumbai, Many Injured

Mumbai, 6th June 2024: An incident of stone pelting on police and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials occurred in the Powai area of Mumbai today. The violence erupted during an anti-encroachment operation, leaving several policemen and officials injured.

The trouble began when a team of police and BMC officials arrived in Powai to clear illegal structures. As the operation commenced, a group of individuals started pelting stones at the officials, causing chaos and injuries. Many people, including some of the attackers, have suffered serious injuries in the confrontation.

In response to the violence, a heavy police force has now been deployed in the area to restore order and prevent further incidents. Authorities are investigating the attack and working to identify the perpetrators.
