Street Light Mishap in Thane: Man Injured as Pole Falls Due to Bus Mishap

Thane, 19th June 2024: A 42-year-old man in Thane, was injured on Tuesday morning when a street light pole fell on him, according to a municipal official.

The incident occurred when luggage tied to the roof of a bus became entangled with a cable connected to a street light pole, causing the pole to collapse, explained Yasin Tadvi, head of the civic disaster management cell.

The falling pole struck a pedestrian, resulting in injuries. The injured man is currently receiving treatment at a hospital, the official confirmed.
