Thane, 29th July 2024: In a significant development for Thane’s political scene, several prominent members of the UBT faction’s youth wing of Shiv Sena have officially switched allegiance to Shiv Sena. The transition, marked by a ceremony attended by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, signals a major shift in local political dynamics.

Key figures joining Shiv Sena include Thane City Youth Wing officials such as Kiran Jadhav (City Officer), Arjun Dabhi (Deputy District Head), Abhishek Shinde (Balkum Branch Head), Deepak Kanojia (City Coordinator), and Raj Verma (Khopat Division Officer), along with numerous other activists.

During the event at Nandanvan residence, Chief Minister Shinde presented the Shiv Sena saffron flag to the new members and expressed his best wishes for their future with the party. He highlighted the growing public support for the Mahayuti government, attributing it to its effective welfare programs and developmental agenda.

Shinde also criticized the previous administration for hindering progress with “speed breakers” and asserted that under his leadership, the state is advancing. He noted that the increasing number of new members from other parties reflects the respect and recognition Shiv Sena is receiving.

The Chief Minister emphasized the party’s adherence to Hindutva principles as advocated by Balasaheb Thackeray and Dharmveer Anand Dighe. He commended the Mahayuti government’s people-focused decisions over the past two years, which have garnered public trust. Among the initiatives Shinde mentioned were the Chief Minister Youth Training Scheme, Chief Minister Annapurna Scheme, the ‘Lakshmi Beti’ scheme, and the farmer electricity bill waiver plan.

Shinde reinforced that Shiv Sena remains dedicated to addressing public issues and ensuring justice, demonstrating its strong governance approach. The party continues to expand its influence while staying true to its foundational values and addressing both developmental and social challenges.
