Thane Police Arrest Three Suspects in Rs 15.5 Lakh Theft Case; Goods Recovered

Thane, 6th August 2024: In Thane district, police have apprehended three suspects involved in a theft of valuables worth ₹15.5 lakh from a residence in Dombivli. The theft occurred on July 27, when a domestic worker and his accomplices allegedly broke into a bedroom and stole various items.

Senior Inspector Sanjay Pawar of Vishnu Nagar Police Station reported that the stolen goods included watches and both Indian and foreign currency, totalling ₹15.52 lakh. The case was resolved through CCTV footage, along with technical and intelligence support.

On August 3, police arrested three individuals, aged 27 and 45, in Navi Mumbai and Bengaluru. Pawar confirmed that ₹6.96 lakh worth of stolen goods were recovered from them. The suspects are originally from Nepal. Efforts are ongoing to locate the primary suspect, the domestic help, who is still at large.
