Thane: Traffic Chaos on Ghodbunder Road as Trailer Blocks Northbound Lane
Thane, 5th July 2024: Thane Traffic Update: Today, commuters on Ghodbunder Road faced extensive traffic congestion as the northbound lane from Kasarvadavali Naka to Manpada was completely closed due to a trailer stuck at Kasarvadavali Naka. Traffic authorities are currently engaged in efforts to clear the obstruction.
This incident highlights ongoing challenges on one of Thane’s major roads. Residents expressed frustration over the continuous disruptions caused by ongoing flyover construction work. “The road has become extremely narrow due to the ongoing flyover construction, causing frequent bottlenecks,” noted one commuter. “Despite restricted hours, heavy vehicles continue to add to the congestion.”
Beyond the construction zone, concerns persist. Another commuter mentioned, “There are several potholes along the entire stretch of Ghodbunder Road, from Thane Majiwada to Anand Nagar. Immediate measures are needed from the authorities to address these issues.
