Thane: Wall and Roof Collapse in Bhiwandi Claims Life of 35-Year-Old Man
Thane, 29th June 2024: In Bhiwandi, Thane district, a tragic incident occurred where a 35-year-old man lost his life after a wall and roof of a room in a chawl collapsed, as reported by police. The incident, attributed to heavy rains, took place on Friday.
The victim, identified as Vimal Vishesar Sah, resided in the affected room located in Narpoli, Bhiwandi. Originally from Sitamarhi in Bihar, Sah was inside the room around noon when the collapse occurred, burying him under debris. Despite efforts to rescue him and rush him to a hospital, he succumbed to his injuries, according to an official statement.
The Narpoli police have initiated procedures, including sending the body for post-mortem at a government hospital and registering a case of accidental death.
