17-year-old raped for three days, rescued by Mumbai police in Ahmedabad
Mumbai, 19th April 2023: The Wadala TT Police has arrested a 24-year-old youth from Rajasthan on charges of rape. Shocking information reveals that Nazim Khan raped a 17-year-old minor girl for three consecutive days. The accused took the girl from Mumbai to Bhopal where he married her and then raped her. After the assault, he locked her in a room and fled with her mobile phone. He later called the girl’s father and demanded a ransom of Rs 7,000.
The police arrested the accused, Nazim Khan, from Rajasthan, and registered cases of rape, theft, kidnapping, and extortion against him under IPC sections. A case has also been filed against him under POCSO.
Nazim Khan and the minor girl met on a social media platform, where their acquaintance turned into love. He lured her to Bhopal where he sexually abused her continuously.
Police Inspector Prashant Gangad informed that on 28th March, Khan married the minor girl at a temple in Bhopal. The girl managed to free herself from a hotel in Bhopal and went to a nearby railway station, where a woman offered to take her to Gujarat for work.
The Mumbai police traced her location and sent a team to rescue her from Ahmedabad. “With the help of the girl, we got Nazim Khan’s mobile number. Using technical assistance, we tracked him moving around different cities until he was arrested near the Nehru Planetarium in Worli,” said another officer.
