Mumbai/Pune, 5th September 2024: A 35-year-old banker from Pune jumped off the Atal Setu bridge (Mumbai Trans Harbour Link) on Tuesday (3rd September), at approximately 11:45 AM.

The banker, identified as Alex Regi, was a resident of Pimpri. He had travelled to Mumbai for a meeting and had visited his father-in-law in Chembur before heading back to Pune. Regi stopped his car on the bridge and then jumped off.

According to a Nhava-Sheva Police Official, surveillance cameras captured the incident. The body was later recovered from the sea. Regi, who worked for a nationalized bank, had reportedly been experiencing significant workplace stress, according to his family.
