6-Hour Block on Mumbai-Pune Expressway for Panvel-Karjat Double Track Suburban Rail Corridor Work

Pune/Mumbai, 17th January 2024: The Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Limited has announced a temporary closure of the Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway (Mumbai-Pune Expressway) at Km 07.560 (Chikhale Rail Over Bridge) to facilitate the ongoing Panvel-Karjat Double Track Suburban Rail Corridor work. The closure is scheduled to take place on January 18, 2024, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

1. Light vehicles traveling from Pune to Mumbai on the Expressway can use the Mumbai Lane Km 55.000 exit and follow the route via Mumbai Pune National Highway No. 48.
2. Light vehicles and buses heading from Pune to Mumbai on the Expressway can take the Mumbai Lane 39.800 Khopoli Exit and proceed via Mumbai Pune National Highway No. 48.
3. All types of vehicles traveling from Pune to Mumbai on the Expressway can utilize the last lane at Khalapur Toll Gate, diverting from Km 32.500 to Khalapur exit, and taking Mumbai Pune National Highway No. 48 through Khopoli via Shedung Toll Plaza.
4. Vehicles from Pune to Mumbai on the Expressway can divert from Mumbai Lane 9.600 Panvel Exit and use Mumbai Pune National Highway No. 48 to reach Kalamboli via Karanjade.
5. All vehicles traveling from Pune to Mumbai on Mumbai Pune National Highway No. 48 will be diverted towards Panvel through Shedung Phata.
