Mumbai, 3rd April 2024: With the announcement of the Lok Sabha Election 2024 program by the Election Commission of India, stringent regulations have been imposed on the dissemination of election predictions, including both opinion polls and exit polls, during the election period.

In Maharashtra, the election will unfold across five phases, triggering the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct from March 16, 2024. Notably, the ban on exit polls will be in effect in the state from 7 am on April 19 to 6.30 pm on June 1, 2024.

Furthermore, the Election Commission has issued a notification affirming the prohibition on the publication or broadcast of results from opinion polls or other polling surveys within 48 hours preceding the conclusion of polling in each phase. These measures underscore the Election Commission’s commitment to ensuring a fair and unbiased electoral process.
